Mr. Jadgishprasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala, a young and dynamic person at only 20 years of age, came to Mumbai with nothing but a dream to make it big. Within a short period of starting his career, Mr. Tibrewala launched multiple businesses in Textiles, Steel & Food Colors. He was not only a promising entrepreneur but a philanthropist as well. He always believed and made sure that along with building businesses, building relations is equally important and accordingly he has left his legacy: it is not only the profits earned by the company which are important but the number of lives we impact and touch during our various endeavours is equally important. This legacy is the very foundation of JJT Group and is clearly reflected in each and every professional choice we make and will continue to make in the future.
Accordingly, JJT Group shares and follows Mr. Tibrewala’s relentless pursuit for growth and during the last few decades, JJT Group has become a conglomerate of multiple companies involved in businesses as diverse as food colors, food ingredients, renewable energy and financial market operations, with its presence in more than 22 countries and more than 2000 employees worldwide.
The flagship company of the group is Roha Dyechem Pvt. Ltd., a world leader in the production of food colors. Starting from one small office in India in 1972, today ROHA has offices in 22 countries, 14 technical application labs in many time zones globally. Manufacturing facilities are spread out across 14 countries: US, UK, Spain, Italy, India, South Africa, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Egypt, Brazil, Mexico & Australia. Roha’s product range encompasses synthetic and natural products created for a multitude of applications – Food and Beverages, Pet Food, Animal Feed, Cosmetics and Industrial Applications.
From a small start-up in 1972 to a global color-producing behemoth in its present avatar, Roha has been a flag bearer of the company’s ultimate vision: transforming not just the industries it works with but the people who work with it as well.
While Roha Dyechem is the single largest entity in the group, other companies are equally important. Wellworth is a dynamic trading company, involved in all aspects of the investment landscape and holds an extremely high CRISIL rating.
For nearly a decade now, Roha Energy too has been carving out a name for itself in the field of clean energy. Starting with a 7.5 MW wind energy plant in the Sangli district of Maharashtra, Roha Energy went on to a 25 MW solar energy plant at Charanaka in Gujarat in the year 2012. Roha Energy is not just an entrepreneurial venture of the JJT group, but also a reflection of the group’s visionary foresight and commitment to the planet and its ecological balance.
